The Institute of Notre Dame (IND) and Notre Dame Preparatory School (NDP) joined the Refugee Youth Project this spring to tutor refugee youth at Moravia Park Elementary School. Students from IND and NDP came together to leave lasting impressions on the young learners, led by siblings Samantha and Steven Pomplon, who both happen to be teachers at these sister schools.

Notre Dame Preparatory has volunteered with RYP for several years, and this year was a great opportunity for the school to join forces with Institute of Notre Dame during a spring break when more volunteers were needed. Students from both IND and NPD enjoyed their time at Moravia Park Elementary School. IND student Lucy Wickham stated that volunteering at RYP was “such a rewarding experience.” Read the an article about IND’s experience here.
